2025 Bank Logo March Madness Tournament: The Sweet 16 is Set!

Round 1 of the Banking+ 2025 Bank Logo March Madness Tournament has officially wrapped up, and after careful deliberation by our panel of judges, the field has been cut from 32 to the Sweet 16. Some logos dominated their matchups, while others won in tight races. Now, we look ahead to the next round, where competition gets even tougher. Read on to see which logos advanced and what exciting matchups await. 

How the Judges Voted

An expert judging panel—Ron Shevlin (Cornerstone Advisors), Kate Drew (CCG Catalyst), Scott Hildenbrand (Piper Sandler), Kristin McCrossin (Boomtown Internet Group), and Tim Davis (BankBound)—evaluated each match-up, based on personal preferences like design, branding impact, and overall aesthetic. Their votes, by majority rule, determined the advancing logos. 

Results: Who Made It to the Sweet 16?

After a competitive first round, here’s a look at the logos still in competition: 

  1. Fortuna Bank, OH defeated Nantahala Bank, NC (4-1) 
  2. Agility Bank, TX triumphed over Integro Bank, AZ (5-0) 
  3. Locality Bank, FL edged out Victory Bank, PA (3-2) 
  4. Endeavor Bank, CA overtook South Louisiana Bank, LA (4-1) 
  5. Oregon Coast Bank, OR advanced past Meridian Bank, PA (4-1) 
  6. Hyperion Bank, GA/PA won against River City Bank, KY (4-1) 
  7. Oregon Pacific Bank, OR narrowly defeated Three Rivers Bank, MT (3-2) 
  8. Tennessee State Bank, TN knocked out Redneck Bank, OK (3-2) 
  9. Grand Bank, MS moved past Mt. McKinley Bank, AK (5-0) 
  10. Victory Bank, TX eliminated Hawaii National Bank, HI (5-0) 
  11. City Bank, TX bested Luminate Bank, MN (3-2) 
  12. i3 Bank, NE surpassed Movement Bank, VA (3-2) 
  13. Walpole Co-op Bank, MA edged out Machias Savings Bank, ME (3-2) 
  14. Vintage Bank, KS took down Bravera Bank, ND (4-1) 
  15. Points West Community Bank, CO defeated Bank, IA (4-1) 
  16. Bay State Bank, MA emerged victorious over Pioneer Bank, NM (4-1)
