The 2024–2025 season for the Philadelphia Eagles was certainly a team effort, as both the offensive and defensive squads united solidly to rack up a 14–3 regular season record. Among the standout athletes was running back Saquon Barkley, whose sure-footed run through the playoffs gained him:
- The NFL record for single season rushing (combining his performances in the playoffs and the regular season)
- The Offensive Player of the Year title
- A key role in the team’s decisive Super Bowl LIX win
On a personal level, however, Barkley’s year was a busy one. His “to-do” roster included the purchase of a new home. He obtained the 2017-constructed, six-bedroom, nine-bathroom, 10,025 sq. ft. mansion at 1582 Highgrove Lane, Malvern, for $3.9 million.

The home bespeaks both luxury and comfort. Both are evident to visitors soon after they cross the threshold and experience the tony but welcoming foyer.

Once inside, there are numerous options for welcoming guests. They include the living room. The tray ceiling and bookcases surrounding the fireplace are impressive, but the incorporation of a wall of windows admits plenty of cheery sunlight.

Entertaining generally includes food (an NFL star needs his calorie replenishment, after all). The kitchen is conveniently arranged for food prep, and big enough to create meals extensive enough to sate an NFL star’s appetite.

When it’s time to sit for a meal, the adjacent dining room is large enough to accommodate a whole team but not so expansive that guests will feel alienated. The exposure to an abundance of natural light is a solid advantage to the design.

A pro athlete needs a quiet, comfortable spot to get some work done; it’s tough to review all those complex plays in an environment of clutter and noise. The home’s office is an ideal sanctuary for being productive.

When it’s time to kick off the shoes and enjoy some downtime, the family room’s high ceiling and beautiful fireplace surround work well as de-stressers.

A different spot for some desk time has been created in the attic, where, again, an unusual ceiling becomes a point of architectural interest.

At day’s end, when an athlete requires little more than a quiet spot to get some rest, the home’s master bedroom is an absolute sanctuary.

The bathroom attached to the main suite is the very definition of luxurious pampering.

And in terms of handling a massive wardrobe (Barkley surely wore more than just his No. 26 Eagles jersey), the master closet is massive.

Lest this property be considered as only a place for subdued living, it’s fair to mention that there are spots on the property designed especially for plain-old enjoyment. One of these is the onsite game room.

Another engaging spot is outdoors, where a basketball court awaits some friendly hoops competition.

And if the weather turns inclement and an indoor workout is needed, the property’s well-stocked gym puts a professional-grade session just a few steps away.
