From 2001–2006, Hollywood heartthrobs Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston lived in a five-bedroom estate in Southern California, moving in about a year after their high-profile Malibu wedding.
The 1026 Ridgedale Dr., Beverly Hills, property recently found its way back into the local real estate market, as reported by Kathryn M. at Dwell.
The estate dates to the glory days of Southern California, when movie stars and their lavish dwellings were everywhere. In 1934, influential architect Wallace Neff, father of the California Style of home construction, designed it, sourcing visual elements from Spanish, Tuscan, Mediterranean, and Islamic traditions.
“Friends” of all types will feel welcome once they’re ushered into the luxurious living room
In perhaps a throwback to the home’s original era, the kitchen is presented in glorious black and white. The original fireplace has been retained.
Built for when glamorous homes once hosted star-studded dinner guests, the dining room comfortably accommodates as many as 20 people.
The level below has been fashioned as a bar and a sitting room.
This more casual part of the home opens to an expansive pool, outdoor seating, and a fireplace.
The former Pitt-Aniston mansion lists for $56 million. Its full listing is at Dwell.
