Dan Weckerly has been a professional communicator-writer for the past three decades, creating business content ranging from traditional journalistic stories to marketing copy to a self-published novel. In addition, he has been published as a film critic, a travel writer, a blogger, and a contributor to a daily online humor website.

He earned a B.A. in English from Saint Joseph’s University, completing part of his coursework at Heythrop College, associated with the University of London.
Weckerly’s experience in the financial services industry includes four years writing and editing for the Risk Management Association and ten years serving as a marketing content creator for a global commercial lending fintech.

He was a board member of the Philadelphia Chapters of both the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). His work has been recognized by organizations that include the Life Communicators’ Association, the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals, and Just Labs magazine. He has also been a guest lecturer at his alma mater, returning to SJU to speak on content/PR strategy to Marketing students.

Weckerly lives in suburban Philadelphia with his wife and three daughters. He is an avid fan of classic movies, a voracious reader, and the owner of a yellow Labrador Retriever, with which he has earned numerous AKC competition titles and a therapy dog certification.
